I’ll join your harem.
Yuuhi Torishima loves soccer and intends to use an inherited mountain to build a soccer field. His father and brother, however, would prefer that he let Shuiku Academy, the school his brother is a teacher at, use it to build another campus. At first he is adamant, but after an encounter with a couple of current students who are totally against living in the middle of nowhere, Yuuhi decides to show them what’s what and lets the school rent his mountain to build the campus on. This doesn’t sit too well with the trio of brothers that really run the school, who decide to show him what’s what. It doesn’t help matters any that Yuuhi is a bit power hungry with his positions as landlord and resident advisor.

There are two hobbies that I really enjoy: BL and WoW. More generically, reading and watching boys love and playing massively multiplayer online games. Even more generically, reading and watching boys love and playing video games. So what if the two could be combined? Err…not BL and video games; those have already been combined. (A good topic for another time, though.) BL and MMO’s.
My friends and I have joked around about this. I can’t realistically think of any way to make such a game work, but I’m not creative nor am I a game designer, so who knows. One of the ridiculous ideas we came up with was a Pokémon-like game. Instead of monsters, you get guys that could only look the way they do in fantasies and you pit them against each other in sexual dominance matches instead of fighting matches. Get your…umm…bishiemon to be the number one seme in all of Rothazer! Dress him up in kinky leather straps or emo goth stuff or whatever your fetish is! Feed him meals and potions to make him big and strong!
There is of course, the Ai no Kusabi-like total ignorance of human rights, which would turn off most normal people. If that didn’t do it, then the lack of any actual romance or pairing would.
Well this news is about a month old, but I was at the panel for Kitty Media, at NYAF 2008, when editor Frank Pannone announced what projects that they are working with in the near future, that he could disclose. Because everything else, he said was practically an industry secret. One thing I know that I’ve been thinking, since he mentioned it was Fujoshi Rumi 3, which I am looking forward to reading.
A Kiss in the Dark and some more attempts to gain Ayano Yamane’s widely popular mangas… out in English.
Kitty Media does publish adult, yuri and yaoi titles, so while their website is not as helpful as others in terms of releases.
Okay, grabbed this from Boys on Boys on Film- that Kris got some tips from Yaoi Con.

As a fan of yaoi and bl, I even have a blog that is named Fujoshi Scribblings, at the moment, although I might have to change the name of it soon, since Jilly began this blog, and I have the worst time trying to think of things to write, w/o parroting the obvious.
Still.. need to say something for my first post.. well this is Linda aka miz aka animemiz…aka anime_miz.. (all my online handles)…. I am going to strive to write something relevant, something interesting.. something that is not porn… although I don’t know what to say about the *cough* *cough* scenes with couples.
I devour all types of yaoi/bl.. as long as the plot matches my idea of taste, and I don’t find it hard to comprehend. I started to think about bl with Yu Yu Hakusho’s Hiei and Kurama. Then jumped into a lot of other fan pairings, until my legit bl couple…. I think it’s Ryo and Dee. Although I haven’t even finished reading the manga of Fake yet. I guess I like to jump around a lot with stuff. I have a mental goal of reading thru’s Jilly;’s fabulous collection, all the while develop my own collection.
Jilly and I are two different people, with two, sometimes very different objectives. I will try to post as much as I can, but with real life.. and my writer slumps – will not post much for a while.
Things I plan to post though, are feed related Yaoi news – if I catch up with my G-reader, which that would be the day, start a feature about BL couples I am enamored with and among other things chiefly BL, that will catch my eye. So stay tune.. long rant.. happy Jilly? This reminds me a bit of our defunct pita group blog… but yay for hot man doing it with equally hot man goodies!!!!
Three reviews in one day! Aren’t I productive? Okay, so actually they’re just imported reviews that were written last year. Sorry to disappoint!
It’s not just that I love you…but because I know that you love me, too.
Truly Kindly was the first Fumi Yoshinaga work I read and it was a rocky start for someone who likes sweet, romantic, fluffy stories best. The first story in this collection of shorts, “Truly Kindly”, was the longest of all these stories and also one of the most disturbing in general. It incorporated murder, rape, and incest into less than 60 pages, yet all these themes fit well into the story and didn’t make it seem as if it was busting at the seams with more to be told.
The rest of the stories were more to my liking: Read More »
A lot of men want him…but the customers at the bar wouldn’t dare touch him.
Some years ago, Fujimori wrote a highly successful love story. Like any wise publisher, Fujimori’s decides that he should do so again. The problem with that, however, is that that first and only love story was based on his real feelings with a twist to give it a happy ending. So he goes to the local bar to discuss the minor details of his problem with the bartender, because that’s what bars are for, at least the ones I’ve seen on TV and in movies. Oh, but this bar is better, because apparently it’s also (unofficially) there to let handsome men relieve their sexual frustrations. The first story has little to do with the bar and more to do with Fujimori while the rest of the stories have everything to do with the bar and its two staff members and almost nothing to do with Fujimori.

First love’s fruits don’t come easy because you’re scared.
Konoe in the west and Kazuki in the east, both separated from each other by a river. The two families are in the real estate business, making them rivals, with Masaya and Yuma the third generation of this rivalry. This being BL, I’m sure it’s rather obvious where this rivalry is headed.

Primer
This is an entry I am migrating over from my other blog. I wrote this entry in Dec 2, 2006. I fell out of reading this series, but know that 801megane has this series.
Recently purchased the four translated graphic novels of this wonderful series, by Yuki Shimizu. I actually just found out that there is 11 volumes in this series, so it’ll be a while before I even finish reading the series. There’s only four volumes translated. Ack!!! The next volume is coming out in March!
Now most of the time I’m not as obsessed with BL as my other friends are, unless you count Drarry! !!! *_*… but I found this Love Mode to be something I quite enjoy.. my friends are probably going to say that I’m so hypocritical.. since I said to them that I don’t really want to waste money on a series.. I’ll be breaking my own rules for this series. Hmm there’s another book out there that I want.. hmm..
Still Love Mode is about BB (Blue Boy), a Gay Men’s dating club and with clearly defined seme and uke roles. One of the themes I find is a very big age difference between the couples. Very lolita-ish.. forgot the term for guys, but this is a term for relationship between an older partner and a younger one.
Each volumes has different couples as the main one and while I don’t really know of my liking so far I haven’t met every character yet. For a while I got interested in the series because of Takamiya and Izumi.. (they get the most action… or is it Takamiya getting the most action?) Then I was introduced to Reiji and Naoya.. (Very sweet couple….but no action yet…but quite anticipating of it!) Then I was really liking Arashi and Izumi, but I think they’re not going to mentioned in much of the upcoming volumes.
Still there’s comedy and just parts that make you exclaim out loud while reading…. ooh I’m so happy about this series!!
Here’s a picture of Arashi/Izumi….. and Takamiya/Izumi. These images are credited to Sakura-Crisis and Neonic Love is a insightful Love Mode fansite.
