Not a BL release, and not even written for females, but Amazon claims that the third volume of Fujoshi Rumi will be out later this month, which can be a damn funny series for BL fans who don’t mind a little ribbing.

Happy belated birthday, Ayase!

The cute little over-18 uke from Okane ga nai’s birthday was actually January 2, a New Year and birthday celebration!  While the couple celebrates with cake and more alcohol than Ayase can handle, Fujochic will celebrate with a new look!

Antique Bakery – across the board – dorama, anime and manga..

Okay, this past weekend, I went on a marathon watching the anime and drama of Antique Bakery, and then reading the manga series… I have also seen some reviews mention how short the manga was, and how bad the drama was. I don’t want to even say how I was so confused by the anime..

So this is my reflection on all three mediums….

Warning as there are spoilers and some minor questioning.. so don’t read beyond this break. Read More »

BDSM… Sean Micahel Reviews…

A while ago.. last summer I read and wrote a review for an e-book, Bent by Sean Michael. This is a gay erotic novel, that was quite long. It broke down into over 1000 pages on my smart phone’s mobi-reader. I still enjoy nearly every minute of it though.

Should the concept of spanking or fetishes be a dark thing or not though? I imagine there are people out there that are consensual of these type of actions, that they can get off on it.

I wonder if Sean Michael realizes that there are reviewers of his ebook, and if he realizes that there are good and bad points of his stories? I was chuckling, when I read the other reviews. In the Archive of JLHLS, there are about seven e-books that was reviewed, and while I think many of the reviewers gave his stories a good recommendations, there are others included that slammed his books for dropping the “F” word and pretty much the whole man’s sexual organ thing…

To clarify, I wrote three of the reviews, and even I tried to be criticize. Even though I am now an avid reader of his books… >_<()

I’ll write an impression of Velvet Glove one of these days..

Small ode to Aarinfantasy Forum

I feel like typing an ode to a forum I go on at moments.. (ahem) here are my feelings…

Oh forum of many manga, and anime… why oh why.. are you so hard to navigate sometimes?

Why does it seem like the few contributers contribute first, and that leaves others wondering how will they earn points?

Also how to know what is the hottest trend in Yaoi that is out there?

Why…. are you so hard to navigate?

Now that, to the few readers out there, is something I think about.. so just a rambling rant..

New Yaoi Manga Publisher – has a webstore..

I noticed this story on ANN and though…oooh.. more money for people to throw away to…. similar to the way 801 Media and Drama Queen have their own online stores for their products, a new yaoi publisher – Yaoi Generation, unveils its new webstore, with a push for sales toward their first English release of Chifumi Ochi’s five volume series Breath. The first volume is slated to be released on December 16.

BL-books in Japanese public library causes disagreements..

Hmmm.. I vaguely recall reading about a story that might be the same, or similar to the one I am going to mention about.

……a question to the Sakai City website in July demanding to know why there were so many “Boy’s Love” manga in the libraries. Such titles have loyal followings of female readers but the questioner maintained that the content was often obscene and unsuitable for public institutions……

To read the entire post, can refer to here. I also found initial mention of the post here via Japanator.

Now this is an issue of censorship, to which I am actually a little miffed about. As a person less than two months shy away from an MLS, and an actually supporter of this type of book. I would say that it falls to the responsibilities of the parents or the library to label the books accordingly, as to what material is suitable for people to read. I was quite surprised at the conservative attitude that was mentioned, because this was a Japanese library, and my assumption is that Japan has a much more sexual freedom than the United States has. That leads me to understand that countries can be quite similar, and that I should be a more broader thinker. Still it is a goal of mine to go to Japan..so there… (whacks)..

Deux Press releases for the early part of 2009

Okay.. I have been thinking that there wasn’t any bl-ish news for me to report.. and here I found it on the Japanator blog..as I was randomly going around my 1000+ posts on G-reader.

There was reporting as well from here. What I was surprised by was – why didn’t Deux Press didn’t release the news themselves? Ahhh.. more attempts for trying to keep up with the blogs for me then..

  • Take Me to Heaven by Nase Yamato in January
  • Noodle Shop Affair by CJ Michalski in February
  • Love Round!! by Hinako Takanaga in Feburary
  • Naughty But Nice by Naduki Koujima and Future Lovers: Volume 2 by Saika Kunieda releasing in March

Of this list so far, I am most anxiously waiting for Future Lovers, since I wrote a review here. Not sure about the others, but thinking that it would be pretty good, since my opinion is that Deux Press reminds me very much like 801 Media, sexy and lots of hot scenes.
